Carbon180

Carbon180 is a new breed of climate NGO dedicated to bringing together the people, resources, and vision to realize a carbon-removing world. The have two amazing newsletters, The Carbon Copy and The Deep End and they hold in-person events for policy makers and others in the climate and carbon removal industry.

We worked together to automate their audience tagging and segmentation and to create a repeatable automation for their events program.

Audience Management

In order to maintain an engaged newsletter base, you need to set clear expectations with your subscribers as to what they are signing up for and weed out unengaged subscribers regularly.

Carbon180 already has a highly engaged audience. Our main focus was organizing their contacts correctly on the backend to save the team time when sending weekly newsletters and events communications.

Events Management

Managing events communications and registration is a headache and for a lot of companies involves a TON of manual work. Prior to this project the C180 team was doing all event contact maintenance manually - taking up hours they could spend elsewhere.

We integrated with Typeform which allows the team to create beautiful registration forms and host as many forms as they’d like at the same time. This form connects to Mailchimp and as soon as someone registers for an event the following automatically happen:

  • New contacts are added and existing profiles updated

  • Contacts are tagged according to event registration

  • Contacts are tagged according to newsletter opt-in

  • Contacts are added to the calendar event for the in-person event which makes RSVP easy

  • Contacts receive a registration confirmation email
